The elementary and secondary education after-degree programs at King's help students develop authentic connections between their faith and teaching practices. The innovative curriculum blends theory, reflective practices, lectures from highly qualified professors, and a 17-week teaching practicum designed to ensure graduates leave with highly practical and up-to-date approaches to teaching. Both the elementary and secondary after-degree programs are taught in a caring community. Students acquire the knowledge, skills, and attributes required of teachers today in a complex modern school environment. Graduates qualify for teacher certification in Alberta, across Canada and abroad.

Admission Requirements

  •  Grade12 English 

In order to qualify for admission to The King's University College Bachelor of Education program applicants must already be in possession of an three- or four-year bachelor's degree. Applicants must have achieved a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on the Alpha 4.00 scale (or equivalent) in the last 60 credits of the degree. They must also have completed three credits in each of the following courses: English, History, Theology, Philosophy, Fine Arts, Social Science, Natural Science (with lab), and Mathematics or Computing Science.

Applicants who have submitted a complete application package and are deemed eligible will also be invited to a personal interview with the Education Faculty.
