Greek & Roman Civilisation gives you the opportunity to study ancient culture in the round, exploring the art history, archaeology, history, literature and thought of the ancient Greek and Roman worlds. As so much of later European literature, philosophy and language looks back to Classical antiquity, studying Greek & Roman Civilisation will give you insight not just into the ancient past, but also into the ideas and texts that shaped the present.

The quality of the BA degree is recognised by employers who want well-educated and versatile employees. The flexibility it provides allows graduates to enter a host of professions including general management, literature and drama, advertising and public relations, banking and business, journalism, politics, human resources management, public service, teaching, non-profit sector roles and tourism, to name a few.

Prerequisites:

    Domestic applicants require passes in six subjects (including two at minimum HC3) including: Irish, English, a third language, and three other recognised subjects.

    Grade 12 Secondary School Diploma: The minimum for consideration is minimum score of C in six subjects, which includes a minimum of B in two subjects, with English and specific programme requirements.
