Description:

The School of Criminology offers graduate programs leading to the degrees of Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy that are designed for individuals graduating with a Bachelors or Masters degree in criminology or students with a background in one or more of the behavioral or social sciences or with legal training, who are interested in becoming specialists in criminology.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Master's degree from Simon Fraser University or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

    Bachelor's degree or its equivalent from a recognized institution with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5/4.33 or a GPA (last 60 credits) of at least 3.67/4.33.
    Test Scores:
    • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 7] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 93] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 580]
    Application Notes : The minimum graduate program admission requirements for test scores: Internet-based TOEFL 93 with minimum of 20 in each category; Paper-based TOEFL 580 and TWE 5; IELTS (academic) overall band score of 7.0 of the academic (NOT general) test with a minimum of 6.5 in each section.
