Description:

Civil engineers design, build and maintain the infrastructure we all depend on — from highways across continents to high-rise condo towers, and everything in between. You will have access to career-ready learning opportunities at many major engineering firms, government agencies and national research institutions. Carleton's Civil Engineering program is one of the largest of its kind in Canada and offers the option to specialize in structural, geotechnical, municipal or transportation engineering. Your career: build, evaluate and maintain infrastructure; design structural, geotechnical, transportation or municipal systems; infrastructure safety and security; project management; on-site construction management and supervision

    Admission Requirements

    • OSSD with six Grade 12 courses at the 4U or 4M level
    • Prerequisite courses must be at the 4U level with no individual grade below 60%
    • Grade 12 English 4U is recommended for all degrees
    • Grade 12 4U/4M credits for co-op work experience will not be considered as part of the six courses

    • Chemistry (SCH4U)
    • Physics (SPH4U)
    • Calculus (MCV4U)
    • One credit from Biology and Vectors or Earth and Space Science
