Description:

Archaeology is a fascinating subject that can inspire passionate interest and a life-long curiosity about the past. Excavating, recording, analysing and interpreting ancient artefacts, buildings and landscapes can answer many questions about the past – what people ate, what their houses looked like, or how they buried their dead.

But Archaeology is also about the present – ancient places and objects are frequently the focus of debate between developers, conservationists and local communities.
