| The TRENT-ESL: English for University program is an intensive English language and academic skills program that provides total immersion in the English speaking community and a strong foundation for academic success at the university level. Our classes focus on listening, speaking skills, reading, understanding lectures, note-taking skills, seminar presentations, exam preparation, time management, critical thinking, essay writing, and independent learning skills. With a conditional admission to the university, students at the higher levels of the ESL program can take university courses in Business, Economics, Environmental Science, Math, Geography, Computer Science, etc. while improving their English skills. Upon completion of the ESL program, our ESL Level 5 graduating students immediately progress to full-time degree studies. |
