Description:Soil forms an essential part of the environment-affecting or controlling most living things. Soil science studies the soil system to find the best ways of producing food, fuel, and fibre while still preserving soil for use by future generations.

Soil science draws from biology, ecology, geography, geology and a variety of other natural and life sciences. The soil science program at the University of Saskatchewan provides students with an in-depth understanding of the physical, biological and chemical processes that occur in soil and the role soil plays in plant production and environmental management.

  •  Grade12 Chemistry 

Required Courses: Biology 30 Chemistry 30 Foundations of Mathematics 30 or Pre-Calculus 30 (or equivalents) In addition to the Required Courses for admission, some university courses have a high school pre-requisite. Students can be admitted into this college with one subject deficiency that must be cleared before the second year of study. Students who have graduated from a recognized two-year agriculture diploma program may be admitted with more than one high school deficiency.
