Health Informatics is a one-year graduate certificate program for health-care and information-systems professionals currently employed or with experience in health care or technology who are interested in advancing IT in health care. The program also welcomes applicants with a four-year bachelor’s degree from any disciple who are looking to enter the growing field of health informatics. |

Applicants must have either - Health Sciences Graduates:
- Minimum two-year or three-year diploma/ advanced diploma in health sciences or related field from an accredited institution. Plus: Minimum one year of work experience as a health-care professional, or equivalent (resumé required). See the List of acceptable professions/ experience.
or - Bachelor's degree in health science or related field (no work experience required)
- Computer Science/ IT Graduates:
- Minimum two-year or three-year diploma/ advanced diploma in Information Technology/ Computer Science or related field from an accredited institution. Plus: Minimum one year of work experience as an IT professional, or equivalent (resumé required).
or - Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (no work experience required)
- Graduates from other fields of study (outside of health science or IT/ computer technology):
- Bachelor’s degree with at least a B+ or 77% (or the equivalent grade point average) in the final year.
- Applicants currently completing the final stages of a bachelor’s degree may be considered.
- Undergraduate degree completion, meeting the minimum grade point average (B+ or 77%), would be a condition on the applicant’s offer of admission.
