Description:

The Department re-instituted a graduate program leading to a Master of Arts degree in 1996. The degree of Master of Arts is offered in Economics. The focus of the program is applied economics. The non-thesis option is designed so that suitably qualified full-time students can complete it in one year. The thesis option normally takes more than one year. In the last three years, roughly three or four graduate students have completed the M.A. degree annually. The average length of time to complete the degree is a little more than thirteen months, the shortest for a graduate degree in the University, according to the statistics released by the School of Graduate Studies.
