This course provides a foundation in Sociology and Social Research for graduates with good degrees in disciplines other than Sociology. If passed at an appropriate honours level, the Diploma course provides a means of transition into the Masters degree in Sociology for candidates who do not have sociology as part of their primary degree. It is a full-time one year course extending from September to the following August. The programme is based on the Bachelor of Social Science Honours Degree programme in Sociology, and suitably qualified and experienced candidates must therefore be deemed capable of working at this level. |
