Description:

This new Masters in Social Science, based in the School of Sociology, offers advanced, interdisciplinary academic training in two inter-related and pressing issues of the 21st century: racial / ethnic difference and migration. The programme will develop student knowledge and research skills in the areas of migration and race/ethnicity based on the study, discussion and application of: cutting edge scholarship and policy research; key debates and practices in current policy areas in Ireland and Europe; and the impacts of these issues on everyday, social and civic life.

Prerequisites:

    Applicants should normally have a primary degree in sociology or a closely cognate discipline, with at least a second class honours grade two standard or equivalent. Applicants with a joint honours primary degree should normally have attained a standard of at least second class honours grade two in their final degree.
