Description:

The curriculum for the Diploma extends over two academic years of full-time study and is taught in conjunction with the undergraduate BA Psychology single honours programme.

The undergraduate BA programme and the Higher Diploma in Psychology course are currently in the process of being organised under the UCD New Horizons Modularisation Programme. Students undertaking a single-subject honours BA degree are required to take core and optional modules throughout the three year period of study. The core and optional modules of the BA programme at stages 2 and 3 are outlined below. Stage 2 corresponds to the first year of the Higher Diploma in Psychology programme and Stage 3 corresponds to the second year of the programme.

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Applicants for the course leading to the Higher Diploma in Psychology must be graduates of the National University of Ireland or of another university and must have been conferred with an honours degree at time of application. Only a limited number of students will be selected for the course in any session.
