Description:

The Higher Diploma / Masters in Forensic Computing and Cyber Crime Investigation is restricted to police officers. The purpose of the course is 1) to produce graduates with skills that enhance their ability to investigate cyber-crime and 2) to train junior colleagues in forensic computing and cyber-crime investigation. It introduces the concepts, principles, and professional practice in forensic computing and cyber-crime investigation.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Students entering this course will be expected to have at least a second class bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a cognate discipline. Alternatively, candidates such as experienced law enforcement officers who have undertaken significant training in forensic computing/cyber crime or IT may be admitted. Each application will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
