Description:

The long established Masters Degree in Law at University College Dublin is designed to enrich the educational experience of graduate law students through a combination of taught modules and a dissertation. Students are expected to graduate having expanded and deepened their understanding and knowledge of law in general with the option of achieving specialisation in the fields of Commercial Law or European Law. The programme has been designed so that the credits awarded for subjects taken on the programme are compatible with the European wide Bologna system of credit recognition.

While the LLM programme has proved to be a popular choice for recent Irish and international law graduates, it also has appealed to many established and successful practitioners in law. Undertaking the LLM degree provides professional lawyers with an invaluable means of keeping up to date and of acquiring additional expertise in developing areas of the law. Drawing on the extensive expertise of our academic staff, a wide range of subjects is offered in both European and Commercial Law. Students are exposed to international, comparative and European approaches to law within the context of a common law jurisdiction. Tuition is provided in English.
