Description:

This dual degree programme provides an opportunity to acquire legal qualifications in both Ireland and France. Students who successfully complete this programme will be awarded the Bachelor of Civil Law degree from UCD and a French law degree, the Maîtrise, from the University of Panthéon-Assas (Paris II).

Students will spend the first two stages in UCD studying for the BCL. The final two stages will be spent in the Faculty of Law at Paris II studying for the Maîtrise. The first two years in UCD count as the equivalent of the first two years of the Licence Double Maîtrise. Students then spend two years in Paris studying for the Maîtrise en droit, which is considered to be a master’s level course (Master 1).

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Domestic applicants are required to have passes in six subjects (including two at minimum HC3) including: Irish, English, French (inimum B3 LC Higher Level), and three other recognised subjects.

    Grade 12 Secondary School Diploma: The minimum for consideration is minimum score of C in six subjects, which includes a minimum of B in two subjects, with English and specific programme requirements.
