Description:

This graduate certificate program will provide Primary Care Paramedic graduates with advanced training delivered through a didactic, simulation, clinical and preceptorship environments. This program provides a unique opportunity for paramedics to continue working while furthering their education, emphasizing flexible, accessible, lifelong learning. This unique program combines ACP land and ACP flight didactic, simulation and clinical aspects. Students will have the opportunity to complete ACP land or combination of ACP land/ACP-Flight preceptorship.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Graduate of a CMA accredited two-year Ontario College Primary Care Paramedic diploma or equivalent OR a graduate of a Ontario Primary Care Paramedic that delivers theory and simulation instruction as outlined by the Paramedic Association of Canada and the National Occupational Competency Profile for Paramedicine (NOCP). Students must provide the college with evidence of completion of Simulation (S), Clinical (C) and Practicum (P) competencies as outlined under the NOCP.

    The following are also required: criminal record check (vulnerable sector screening), CPR/first aid, class F license, current immunization status, flu shot prior to clinical placement, successful completion of an entrance exam.
