Roofing is Red Seal Trade, successful completion of the Inter-Provincial Red Seal Exam, provides apprentices with a credential that is recognized across Canada and allows them to work as journeypersons in any province. Opportunities abound for those interested in pursuing a career in roofing. Graduates of the Roofing Institute are presently employed as journeypersons, foremen, supervisors, estimators, technical representatives and company owners.
In Level 2, apprentices will learn the following: Blueprint Reading, Cedar Shakes & Shingles, Flexible Membrane Roofing Systems, Concrete and Composite Roof Tiles, Waterproofing, Metal Tiles, and Single Ply (Thermoplastic) Roofing Systems. |
