| The goals of the Advanced Practice Leadership (APL) option are to prepare nurses with a dual focus on advanced practice and nursing leadership to fill roles in primary care, acute care, and/or community care. The Master of Nursing - Advanced Practice Leadership option is practice-oriented and theory-based, intended to prepare nurses as clinical nurse specialists for a wide variety of advanced practice roles. The Advanced Practice Leadership option is delivered online through a variety of distance learning formats, primarily web-based asynchronous learning tools which make time zone differences less of a concern. |

Applicants will usually hold an undergraduate degree in Nursing with a minimum B+ average in the last two years of graded university-level course work. Students must provide official verification of active practicing registration as a registered nurse (or the equivalent in the jurisdiction[s] in which the student is taking the program). Active practicing registration must be maintained for the duration of the program. A minimum of two years of relevant practice experience is usually required. Applicants to the Nurse Practitioner program must be residents of British Columbia. |
