Description:

The Department of Computer Science offers a graduate program leading to the degrees of Master of Science (M.Sc.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science. The Department also participates in the Co-operative Education program at the graduate level. Research areas include strong emphases in software engineering, software systems, human computer interaction (HCI), software requirements engineering, graphics, combinatorial algorithms, graph theory, algorithm design and complexity, music technology, numerical analysis, parallel and distributed computing and digital systems design.

Students in this program have the option of completing the co-operative education program. Recent graduate student co-op employers have included: IBM Labs, Federal Government research labs, Sierra Systems Groups, Microsoft, Business Objects, BC Hydro, Genologics, Macdonald Dettwiler, and more! Ph.D. students are required to complete at least three work terms (12 months).
