Columbia College’s College Prep Program is designed to provide a variety of educational services to young and more mature adults who have, for a variety of reasons, not completed their basic high school education. These services are designed to provide individuals with an opportunity to complete more education and, as a result, experience greater employment-related opportunities that are otherwise not available to them.
The service includes three distinct components: Assessment/Placement, Academic Upgrading, and Work Experience and Further Educational advising. The service supports up to 30 months of government funding in order for participants to reach their goals. The funding may assist students with living and tuition costs. The College Prep Program will assist these adults in enrolling in the courses they will need in order to achieve their employment or further education goals. In addition, College Prep will further monitor access and provide special advice to these adults while they are enrolled in courses at Columbia College. |
