Description:Coastal Pacific Aviation offers helicopter IFR training with Chinook helicopters. The program consists of four components: comprehensive ground school (27 hours) followed by a practice INRAT exam, a 20-hour program in our PFC- S Flight Training Device (FTD), C172 Aircraft - 15 hood hours (18 hours flight time) with an instructor, and helicopter transition followed by a flight test.

Admission Requirements

  •  Grade12 English 

Applicants must hold a valid Canadian Private (or higher) Pilot Licence. The Ministry of Education, Skills and Training requires that students must be secondary school graduates or a minimum of 19 years of age.
