Description:

The 4th Class Power Lab is a 5 week hands-on training session offered by the SAIT Energy Department at the Calgary campus. This course is approved by the Alberta Boiler Safety Association (ABSA) as meeting the firing time requirement to write the ABSA Power Engineering 4th Class Part B examination. SAIT reserves several seats in the Power Lab each year for interested Northern Lakes College Power Engineering graduates. Students fill out a Northern Lakes College (NLC) application form to begin the process of being registered in the Power Lab through NLC.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Applicants must be enrolled or a past graduate of NLC 4th Class Power Engineering Program and complete a phone interview.
