Description:

Engaged. Critical. Transformative.

Study people, cultures and societies across time and around the world. Anthropology at York is the study of human experience and social transformation. In this program, you’ll explore how people live, relate, struggle, imagine and make sense of their worlds. You’ll analyze the complexities of social life and develop a grounded understanding of topics like health and the body, environmental justice, media and technology, migration, race and racism, archaeology and cultural heritage, religion and social justice, while learning to understand different perspectives. Through hands-on research and real-world learning, you’ll build skills in critical thinking, communication and cultural analysis. If you’re curious about human behaviour and want to make sense of today’s complex world, this program gives you the tools to do it.
