MHC is pleased to now offer a Bachelor of Education in collaboration with Mount Royal University. You can complete all four years at Medicine Hat College, with a focus on elementary education. Becoming a teacher offers you the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young people and to shape the future through interaction with youth. Each of us, at some point in our lives, felt the influence of a teacher who affected how we see the world and our place in it. Many of the students who enrol in our program want to make a difference in the lives of others and choose a career in teaching to make it happen.

Applicants are required to have Alberta High School Courses or equivalents with a minimum 60% average in the required courses, ELA 30-1, three additional 30-level academic subjects, and one 5-credit or two 3-credit subjects at the 30-level (Special Projects 30 excluded). Note: Although not required for admission, it is strongly suggested that students entering Education possess Math 30-1 or Math 30-2. |
