In just five months you can acquire knowledge and skills across a spectrum of construction processes?from foundations to framing, to interior and exterior finishing?that position you for careers in one of Canada?s most in-demand industries. In-class building projects allow you to sharpen your skills and rapidly apply class lessons to real-world scenarios, the employability and essential skills you acquire through MITT?s Bridging to Work workshops help you develop vital on-the-job teamwork and communication skills. Graduates who meet specific criteria can earn credit toward Apprenticeship Manitoba Level 1.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
  • 2 of  Grade12 English  or  Grade12 Mathematics 
Manitoba high school diploma (or expected completion within 45 days of the program start date), or equivalent, including:

  • Grade 12 Math (40S) with a grade of 50 per cent or higher, or equivalent.
  • Grade 12 English Language Arts (40S) with a grade of 50 per cent or higher, or equivalent.
