All returning students are required to pay their regular student fees ($164) in full by June 7, 2017 before registering for their courses. New students are required to pay the $164 in full by June 30, 2017 before they register. Payments may be made in full before registration by cash, debit card, Visa, MasterCard, money order or cheque. Post dated cheques will not be accepted. Any remaining fees (non-resident of Quebec, convocation fees, part time in-program fees, etc…) will be assessed by August 22 and due by September 8, 2017. Late payment fees of $25.00 will be applied to overdue accounts.

Description:

Write, direct, illustrate, produce and act in your own animated films! Perhaps you will even be part of an Oscar-winning VFX team, like some graduates of Dawson’s unique program. Students develop fundamental art skills while also learning cutting-edge computer skills. Many teachers continue to work in the industry, which keeps the program relevant. Montreal’s world-famous digital effects industry is waiting for you upon graduation.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Applicants must have a Diploma of Secondary Studies (DES) or equivalent, including Secondary V Language of Instruction, Secondary V Second Language, Secondary IV Science, Secondary IV Mathematics, and Secondary IV History. Students with a DES missing any of the above subjects may be admitted, space permitting, but may be required to complete remedial courses.

    Applicants are required to submit a letter of intent and a portfolio. Applicants are also required to attend a portfolio evaluation and take an entrance drawing test. Please visit the website for more information on requirements.
