|Description:||* Have you been looking at getting into the industrial workforce, but your education and previous experience keeps holding you back?
* Is upgrading to a GED part of your plan, but finance gets in the way?
* Consider the Construction Craft Labourer Employability Program (CCLEP)
o 26 weeks of upgrading and industrial training
o Educational upgrading to Grade 10 GED
o Financial support through Alberta Works (Some Conditions apply)
o Technical training toward certification as a Construction Craft Labourer (see www.tradesecrets.gov.ab.ca for complete career details)
o 6 week work experience placement to prepare you for industry!
This program offers an opportunity to upgrade your education, get hands on training in nine labourer skills, prepare and write your apprenticeship entry exams. During these 26 weeks you will work on your academic and hands on training for the first 20 weeks and then move to a worksite for six weeks of work experience. Afterwards CCLEP Trainees will register with Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training and receive a record book (or Blue Book) in which they formally record their progress.
Hours earned in the CCLEP designation can also be transferred to an apprenticeship. Come in an apply for the next offering. Apply soon as funding takes 6 - 8 weeks to process.
