The two-year Practical Nurse program will prepare students for a career in high quality nursing care in many different settings: hospitals, home care, and other health care agencies. The practical nurse works co-operatively with other health care personnel in the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of wellness.
The program includes practical experience in job related settings and prepares graduates for employment in the current health care environment; it also prepares students to write the National Practical Nurse Examination. |

Applicants must have completed a high school diploma, or equivalent, with a minimum of 65% in English 30/30-1 or 75% in English 33/30-2, 65% in Biology 30, 60% in Math 20-2 or 50% in Math 20-1.

| Application Notes : | Students must also obtain the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) at the Healthcare Provider Level dated after April 30 for the upcoming academic year and a police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check dated after July 1 for the upcoming academic year. They must submit a copy of it directly to the Nursing and Allied Health Studies Department. |
