Description:

Are you looking to launch a career that makes a positive impact in the lives of others? CDI College's Addictions & Community Services Worker program teaches you to work with high risk communities, youth, and families of those struggling with addiction. You'll learn about the fundamentals of addiction, treatment, human psychology, and your ethical responsibilities as an addictions worker. You'll also learn important intervention skills and preventative health promotion. At the end of your program, you'll put your new skills into practice as part of an extensive practicum placement. You'll gain first-hand experience working alongside addictions professionals and with clients experiencing challenges with drug and alcohol addiction.

    The minimum requirements for admission to CDI College is a high school diploma, unless otherwise specified in the program outline. Where applicable, applicants must provide proof of graduation at the time of enrollment or by the first day of class. Applicants who have not achieved a high school diploma can apply as a mature student. All applicants must provide proof of age and pass an entrance exam.
