Description:

The biochemistry program, offered through the Department of Chemistry and Biomolecular Sciences, provides you with the training needed to play a leading role in the new and exciting areas of medical research. You will be exposed to cutting-edge research and state-of-the-art knowledge. The undergraduate biochemistry program prepares you for graduate studies and thus for a career in academia or in research in the medical sciences. What’s more, biochemistry provides an excellent foundation for further studies in medicine and other health specialties.

  •  Grade12 English  or  Grade12 Français 
  • 2 of  Grade12 Biology  or  Grade12 Chemistry  or  Grade12 Physics  or  Grade12 Earth and Space Science 
  •  Grade12 Advanced Functions 
  •  Grade12 Calculus and Vectors 
A minimum combined average of 70% is required for all prerequisite courses in science and mathematics.


Students who do not have Calculus and Vectors 4U can take the replacement course at the University either the summer before or during their first term.

Test Scores:
  • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5] or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 70] or Cambridge English for Speakers of Other Languages: Certificate in Advanced English [min. C1] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 86] or CanTEST [min. 4.5]
