Description:This one-year Ontario College Certificate program is designed for students who are interested in the justice, legal or law enforcement fields. The program prepares students for success in a variety of programs including Police Foundations, Community and Justice Services and Law Clerk. Students explore their interests, aptitudes and skills, assess career choices, experience college delivery of course material and generally prepare for further postsecondary studies.

Graduates are eligible to receive an Ontario College Certificate in General Arts and Science - One Year, with concentration in Justice Studies. Graduates can apply to another program at the College or continue their studies in Year II of the General Arts and Science Ontario College Diploma program. Students who complete the certificate with an overall B average are eligible for admission into the Community and Justice Services program or the Police Foundations program at Algonquin. Students must apply by February 1st. Some credits may be considered as transfer credits towards other college programs.
