The Personal Support Worker program was developed as a part of the Government of Ontario's initiative to reform community support services. Replacing and consolidating Health Care Aide and Home Support Worker (Levels 1, 2 & 3), the Personal Support Worker program standardizes training and establishes a solid educational base for workers to provide long-term care and support services in both institutional and community settings.
