| Hands-on training in operative dentistry, lab procedures, and dental radiology complements theoretical understanding of anatomy, nutrition, microbiology, pharmacology, and oral pathology. Classroom studies are followed by mandatory clinical experience. Under the direction of a dentist, placements may fulfil duties such as polishing teeth, applying fluoride treatments, placing pit and fissure sealants, applying anesthetic, or applying over-the-counter whitening agents. |
