Description:

Computers can play chess – could they one day diagnose illnesses or write symphonies? These are questions explored in our Cognitive Science program. Drawing from principles of psychology, philosophy, linguistics, neuroscience, and computing, this program explores the science of the mind and thought. Cognitive scientists are probing the concept of intelligence in humans and animals in order to program intelligent computers that are not only capable of performing complex tasks, but of thinking complex thoughts.

  •  Grade12 Calculus and Vectors 
  •  Grade12 English (ENG4U) 
Admission requirements are as follows: English 4U, Advanced Functions 4U, and Calculus and Vectors 4U. Additional three required courses may be either 4U or 4M.
Test Scores:
  • Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 70] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 88]
