| Many helicopters in todays industry utilize the Turbine Engine. Having a turbine helicopter endorsement will provide more opportunities for employment as several companies place value on this training. Helicopter operators realize that turbine experience makes the training of a new pilot much easier and effective. GFT can offer this opportunity to students through Universal Helicopters, who have agreed to provide Turbine Helicopter training and type ratings to GFT applicants. The Turbine Helicopter training program is currently being conducted by Universal Helicopters on the Bell 206. This program is designed for candidates that have completed the Helicopter Commercial Pilot Licence, and wish to add Turbine experience to their portfolio. This course is conducted in Goose Bay, where accommodations are available to students. |
