| Pharmacy assistant is one of the fastest growing careers in health care. The objective of this program is to provide students the theoretical and practical competencies which are necessary to obtain an employment in a pharmacy environment. The program emphasizes interpersonal skills and a strong sense of responsibility for this client-centered field. After completion of the training students will learn skills such as preparation of medicine for dispensing, creating labels, and keeping the pharmacy in order, verification of insurance and prescription information, inventory control, drug distribution, narcotics control and sterilization and assistance to the pharmacist with everyday duties. |
