Description:

Tutors meet with the learners on a weekly basis to assist them with reading, writing, math, English as a Second Language, or other skills depending on the objectives set out by the learner.

The Literacy Attendant provides the match with suitable learning materials and will provide ongoing support for both the learner and the tutor.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    The learner must be at least 18 years of age, must be out of school for at least one year, must have a desire to learn, and must be able to meet for 1-2 hours per week.
