Description:

If you are interested in alternative medicine and holistic treatment methods and have always had a desire to heal those in need, this is the program for you.

You're fascinated by Chinese healing practices like acupuncture and want to develop a balanced approach to your clients' health and well being. You're inspired by nature and see the interconnectedness of the Earth's systems. You want to know yourself better and through that knowing, help others in the process.

Prerequisites:

  •  Grade11 Principles of Mathematics 
Admission to the Associate of Arts ā€“ Entry to Traditional Chinese Medicine program requires the completion of Biology 12, Chemistry 11 (Chemistry 12 recommended), English 12 and Principles of Math 11 with a grade of ā€œCā€ or higher. Students who lack the admission requirements may still gain entry to the program by taking a combination of upgrading and university courses in their first year. This may extend the length of their program. Students wishing to take STAT 105 must have completed Principles of Math 12. Please visit the website for complete program requirements.

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Computer Based) [min. 213] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.0] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 79-80]
Application Notes : If your first language is not English, you must meet the following English Language Proficiency requirements for entry in to Selkirk College University Transfer, Diploma or Degree programs: completion of BC English 12, or equivalent; or completion, with a grade of "C+" or better, advanced core courses in the Selkirk College English Language Program and Provincial Level English 51; or submission of a TOEFL score of 213 (computer) or ibt 79-80 or better; or submission of an IELTS score of 6.0 or better; or submission of an EIKEN Grade Pre -1; or submission of an acceptable score on the Language Proficiency Index score of 4 or better. For Indian students coming through the SPP program, the IELTS requirement for diploma programs is 6.0 with no band less than 5.5.
