The Personal Fitness Trainer program combines the hands-on practice of physical training and safe exercise with the knowledge of nutrition and lifestyle counselling to create one of the most in-demand fitness programs in Alberta.
NAIT’s Personal Fitness Trainer faculty have an average of 20 years of industry experience and the program incorporates business management and marketing practices for entrepreneurial graduates that want to start their own fitness empire. |

- Grade12 English
- Grade12 Biology
- Grade11 Applied Mathematics or Grade11 Pure Mathematics or Grade11 Mathematics
Applicants are required to have Grade 12 English, Pure Math 20 or Math 20-1 or 20-2 or Applied Math 20, Biology 30 OR successful completion of the following program courses via Open Studies: ANAT1120 Human Anatomy, PFTR1121 Foundations for Personal Trainers, and PFTR1122 Applied Movement Mechanics. NAIT's MTH20T Academic Upgrading course is recognized in lieu of Math 20-2. |
