Description:

Economics is the science that studies and conducts research in the production, development, distribution, and management of the material wealth of the world economy, nations, business enterprises, households, and individuals, and of the dynamics of economic interactions between individuals and groups.

The major in economics can open a path to employment in government, business, labor, research, or education. There is a demand for those who are broadly trained in the liberal arts without sacrificing the firm foundation of depth in analytical thinking. This program also provides the basis for graduate work in economics and law, or for training for high executive positions. It can increase one’s understanding of economic and political problems in the national and world economy.
