This intensive 50-hour program is designed to prepare participants for taking the refrigeration and air conditioning qualification exam.

Essential topics in this course include: electrical-magnetic fundamentals; automotive air conditioning; servicing and troubleshooting simplified; electric motors, circuits, and controls; fundamentals of air conditioning; domestic refrigerators and freezers; refrigerant recovery, recycling, and reclaiming; air distributions; measurement and cleaning; commercial systems; servicing and installing small hermetic systems; refrigeration systems and compressors and refrigerant controls; absorption systems; special refrigeration systems and applications; heating and humidifying systems, and cooling and dehumidifying systems; central air conditioning and heat pumps / solar energy; air conditioning systems; and passing technician certification exams / technical characteristics.
