Description:

The dual-degree engineering program is designed for the student who desires a stronger liberal arts and science background than can be achieved within a traditional four-year engineering program. Dual-degree students are in high employment demand because of this broader background combined with an engineering degree from a strong school of engineering. The dual-degree engineering program consists of formal agreements between Bethel University and the University of Minnesota (Institute of Technology) in Minneapolis, and Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Dual-degree arrangements can also be established with almost all other schools of engineering on an individual basis.

This program enables a student to receive both a bachelor of arts degree from Bethel University and a bachelor of science degree from the corresponding school of engineering. The program is typically arranged as three years at Bethel University and two years at the particular university, though students may elect to spend more time at either or both institutions. Upon successful completion of the initial three years of the program, including the continuance requirements (as certified by Bethel University), students are recommended for admission to the cooperating school of engineering.
