This post-graduate program has been designed for those who do not have formal computer science or engineering education and would like to start their career in information technology. This program is being offered by the collaborative efforts of the Department of Software Engineering and Department of Network Engineering of Nordic. In addition to sound knowledge and skills required to start a career in information technology, this program provides knowledge required for industry certifications, such as Sun certified Java programmer, Microsoft certified software developer (MCSD), Cisco certified network associate (CCNA), and Oracle certified database associate.
The program covers topics, such as fundamentals of computer engineering, routing and switching (CCNA), system administration, database administration, analysing requirements and defining solution architectures, Java programming, VB programming, desktop programming with C++, and distributed programming with C++. |
