Description:

In today's society of digital technology, the competitive market trend for trained professionals with the ability to use state-of-the-art technology is on the up swing. The Graphic Arts (Multimedia Design) program focuses on providing the conceptual, technical, and visual design skills required to create multimedia applications and environments. Using professional applications students will learn digital imaging, animation, and digital video editing and motion graphics tools. Students will also be introduced to ActionScript, as well as video and sound editing principles. Students will study such application packages as Adobe Photoshop and After Effects, Macromedia Flash and Dreamweaver. The development of websites with strong functionality, interactivity and usability will be included. The exploration of hands-on introduction to editing digital video using Final Cut Pro and the creation of motion graphics using Adobe After Effects will make for a challenging learning experience. All of this along with the ability to integrate various media to create interfaces and experiences will ensure that graduates of this program will have the flexibility to work in this diverse industry.

    Students applying for admission into programs at Corona College must have a Provincial High School Graduation Diploma with an overall 60% average. Persons 19 years of age and older may be accepted under our Mature Student Policy, where an assessment would be completed.
