120 Hours of Classroom Theory - 3 Weeks consisting of 8 hour days. A broad range of subjects are covered in detail such as: vehicle systems and maintenance, proper inspection procedures, specialized tractors and trailers, cargo handling and securement, backing techniques and maneuvers, safe driving techniques, Fleet Smart - Smart Driver Program, extreme driving challenge, trip planning log books, accidents and fires, hazardous materials, the driving life style and employment.
There is also 200 hours of In Cab and Range Training, 10 Weeks of vehicle orientation and proper inspection procedures in which students learn: backing techniques and maneuvers, city driving, cornering, shifting and proper road management, defensive driving and highway operation.
