Description:PrairieView's Diploma Course has been designed to cover all of the essential elements of traditional and digital photgraphy. It is among the most comprehensive 10-month programs offered anywhere in Canada.

Students successfully completing the course possess a good working knowledge of the tools, techniques, aesthetics and business fundamentals of photography. Our graduates go on to work in a wide variety of positions throughout the photographic industry and beyond. We accept a very limited number of students for the program that runs each year from September to June. Early applications are encouraged.

Admission Requirements


These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.

    Students must have a Grade 12 (Senior 4) education or the equivalent mature student status (over 19 years of age). Students must have adequate abilities in English, both oral and written. It is preferable to have some previous experience in photography but not absolutely necessary.
