The course itself is divided into three segments, signifying the progression of the student:
Segment 1 is the Junior level where students are provided with a solid background in hairdressing theory and all the basic practical skills. Segment 2 is the Intermediate level. Students are expected to build on the foundation accumulated in Segment 1, demonstrating their skills through client services. Segment 3, Senior level, focuses on advanced skills as well as salon business practices and provincial exam preparation. |

Students wishing to apply for the Hairdressing program at Ray Hair Arts Academy Ltd. need to meet the following minimum requirements: 19 years of age or older, BC grade 12 or equivalent, possess normal colour vision, possess good hand/eye coordination, be able to stand/sit for long periods of time, possess good written/spoken English and have a successful interview with an instructor. Students should also be aware that this is a rigorous training program that requires a significant time commitment. If you are planning to attend full-time, please be sure that your studies do not conflict with any previous commitments you may have. |
