Description:

Transport Operations Specialist positions require an in depth understanding of logistics and freight. Whether the specialist works in a warehouse setting or hauling cargo on the open road, it’s important that they understand all the rules and regulations surrounding both road safety and materials handling.

Truck drivers make up the majority of freight haulers in North America. Drivers typically have specialized licensing, to handle the larger vehicles they work with, and may be qualified to transport everything from liquid freon and fuel oil to fresh produce or live animals. In trucking and freight, a Transportation Specialist must pay special attention to the care and attention their cargo needs, and may be called upon to trouble shoot issues like route planning.
