Description:

If you are passionate about a cause, be it environmental, cultural or social justice, this course will give you all the skills and inspiration you need to spread the word with visual impact. Designed to meet the needs of adult activists who would like to learn the essentials of low-budget, activist media production. Learn how to create compelling issues-based documentaries and broadcast quality PSAs that carry the weight of authority, credibility and persuasiveness.

Invited guests and workshop facilitators include Mike Hudema (Greenpeace: Tar Sands Energy Campaigner and Global Exchange: Independence from Oil Director) and Betty Krawczyk (Environmental Activist, Author and former Political Candidate). Jennifer Abbott (Co-Director and Editor of The Corporation) will be giving workshops on using documentaries to advance activism and will be present during post-production to provide editing critiques.
