Description:

Write, shoot, edit: Tell your own stories, guided by Aboriginal media professionals. This program is a media intensive program for First Nations, Metis, Inuit and other peoples of Aboriginal descent. We have discovered that the setting and curriculum offered by G.I.F.T.S. are well-suited to the needs of many Aboriginal students. We emphasise storytelling, learning-by-doing, and practical small-budget filmmaking skills. Our school offers a safe social environment, which promotes focus and creativity. Our teaching staff for this program is primarily Aboriginal. We endeavour to respect the variety of cultural traditions that students bring to the school.
